Netula Maharani Temple is a unique temple located in Sikandra block of Jamui district in Bihar.  It is believed that by worshiping in this temple, devotees get freedom from eye related disorders and they get desired results.

 There is a temple of Kali Mata in Malaypur opposite the railway station of Jamui, Bihar which is known as Maa Netula Mandir.  It is said that this temple of Maa Kali is considered the pride of Jamui.

 According to the beliefs associated with the temple, the devotees who come to the court of Mother Netula, who are suffering from diseases related to the eyes, they get freedom from them forever.  Due to this, Jamui Kali temple is visited by people suffering from eye diseases throughout the year.  A special belief associated with this temple is that whoever holds a dharna here for 30 days with true devotion gets the desired result.

 History of the Temple
 It is said that the history of Maa Netula temple is thousands of years old.  According to popular mythology, when Lord Mahavira left home, he attained knowledge.Then on the first day, he rested in the night under the banyan tree located in the Maa Netula temple complex.  It is said that Lord Mahavir had sacrificed his clothes at this place.  It is also mentioned in the famous text of Jainism, Kalpasutra.
